"When We Stand In God's Promise"

Well howdy there family! yes i still have my country lingoo! haha anyways sounds like you guys are busy and having fun! i'm glad dads getting better and hope everything works out there! hope karter had a good birthday! crazy it's already getting to the 4th! man i'm not going to lie though sounds like since i left the family outtings just havn't been the same haha. oh well hope you guys still have a good time! well honestly this week was amazing! everyday just going out and getting work done, as well (of course) having fun! the lord blessed us this week tremendously! everyday we just laughed and taught spirit inspired lessons! my comp is doing great and it's been really fun the last few days! he started cracking jokes and it's made a big difference in our work! oh yeah before i forget, i'm not getting transfered so that means 6 months in this area haha, it's all good though cause i absoultely love this area! it's just crazy to think i'm coming up on a year and am only in my 2nd area but im excited cause i get to see these people keep progressing and i have come to love them so much! so yesterday was fast sunday and i've never seen so many people at church! we were asked to bless the sacrament so we were up on the stand and i just couldn't believe it! our less actives were walking in and some that i haven't seen there since i got here so it was incredible! then back to bro.willy, so we went to his house and he was super stressed about his baptismal date on the 14th cause he has a ton going on that week and so asked if he could move it back, and he really asked us to look up parkinsons disease because i guess it's a lot worse then we ever thought, he can only be out of the house for a few hours, maybe 1 or 2. so my heart was just breaking when i heard him saying this stuff because he's really struggling so we shared 1 nephi 3:7 and just tried to comfort him and i honestly thought he wasn't going to come to church or anything cause of how bad he made it sound but.....right before sacrament started guess who walks in? Bro Willy! oh my goodness i can't describe the amazing feeling that came over me, it just goes to show that God answers prayers and prepares a way for us to accomplish his commandments! this week was just amazing and i just love it here! and one thing i wanted to share was yesterday our branch mission leader bro. jeff was called to be branch president. he's 24 haha. he his such a stud and he said something really cool yesterday that i liked, "when we stand in God's promise, He will always remain Faithful." remember that and live by it. sometimes we may think that we are forgotten or alone but when we are always doing what he askes of us, he will always be faithful to us. Family i love ya to death and hope you have a great week! things couldn't be better here! love you! Elder Machen
